                                        Builders' Day:
A Fine Group of Folks Fabricates Four Libraries at Folklore Village

Alicia Rheal, a fan of Folklore Village near Dodgeville, Wisconsin, and a fantastic artist in her own right, had an idea--why not have a workshop on how to build Little Libraries out of recycled materials and found objects?  Get families together between Christmas and New Years Day in a beautiful rural setting, bring tools, all kinds of wood, interesting hardware and goodwill...then see what happens.  The result?  Four very different Little Libraries crafted out of a doll house, old cabinets and who knows what else?  At the end, the proud builders auctioned off two of their works of art, raised several hundred dollars for Folklore Village and gave two Little Libraries to the Pay it Forward Fund.

Now here's the fun follow-up part.  Zeke and his mom from Vermont took their experiences back home and now are in touch with the Heart and Soul folks in Essex Junction, who held a builders' day of their own.  At least four more Libraries have been created already in the area surrounding Burlington.  Thanks, everybody!
