Make it Possible to Send Books and Libraries

Looking for a Project That Can Make a Major Difference in the World? This is It!
Books For Africa and Little Free Library have formed a unique partnership to send more than 2,000 Little Free Libraries and thousands of books to Africa over the next several years.
The two groups ask local organizations, businesses, schools and individuals to raise the $1,000 needed to design, build and ship a unique, one-of-a-kind Little Free Library. Books valued at $1,000 will be included. A sponsor recognition sign will be located on the Library itself, and primary donors will receive a custom plaque or certificate to recognize their contribution. When the Library is erected, pictures and the story about the donors and recipients will be posted on the Little Free Library Map of the World online. Sponsors can also donate funds toward the overall program or buy a one-quarter ¼ share in a Library for $250. Little Free Library will design and build the miniature book exchanges. Books For Africa, (BFA), based in St. Paul, will supply the books and ship the Libraries to sites in Ghana, Nigeria and elsewhere in Africa. BFA has shipped more than 27 million books to 44 countries since 1988.
