We hope you choose to become a part of the Little Free Library movement.. Here's why:
It's easy. Simply agree to the one page commitment, sponsor a library, become a Steward, build an official Library or arrange to have one built. The easiest way to join? Become a donor. Your contribution can be tax-deductible. When you contribute to the Pay if Forward Fund or sponsor a Library you will receive regular communication from us, discounts on products, books, technical support and the chance to be part of national and international outreach. We work with you to raise funds for building, maintenance and ongoing book purchases. You have several choices. Purchase a Library and install it yourself. To raise funds and promote your project, you can have a contest with a local arts, literacy or civic organization and build a unique community arts/literacy outreach project. Contact us when you need help. We can supply unpainted, unfinished Libraries, a partially finished Library, specialized books, authorized Library kits and a variety of options depending on the skill and needs of your organization. We can also supply marketing materials and public relations guidance based on other members’ experiences. Build your own with a friend, neighbor or as part of a school/community project. Contact us to register an authorized and numbered Little Library and obtain the signage and steps needed to be part of our system. Pay it forward by contributing $50 or more to cover expenses. Each Library Needs a StewardWe want to have a contracted steward with each Library in order to communicate on a regular basis, oversee the book collection and maintenance. As a steward you will be able to choose a Library and locate it on your property, buy it or help raise funds by sending neighbors and friends to a designated online site to be co-sponsors. Once the total price is met, the Library will be installed at the designated site. The steward must own the land on which the Library is located or accept responsibility for the Library.

Your Group Can BenefitMembers of Wisconsin Literacy have set the pace by realizing that supporting a Little Library can help promote their activities as well. We encourage them--and you--to include information on tutoring and literacy in every Little Library they support.
