What People Are Saying
" Our experience hosting a Little Free Library has been absolutely wonderful and heart-warming. We’ve met SO many wonderful people, from near or far, and have had over 500 books move through the LFL in the 5 months we’ve been open. I highly recommend becoming a Little Free Library steward (or at least a patron), there hasn’t been a day yet where it doesn’t bring a smile to my face and affirm my faith in humanity."
-Charlene, LFL#1849 in Winnipeg

"This afternoon at my LFL there was a three-year-old named Aaron who was so bright. I pulled out a bunch of Golden books for him and he spent 15 minutes finally choosing a bunny book.  He knew his letters and could even sound out some words.  A couple hours later in early evening came 3 kids, 2 girls and a boy.  They left 2 books and took some more.  My heart soared as I watched them quietly from my office window.  The Little Free Library has already brought such joy to my husband and me.  I am so thrilled to contribute and pay it forward more."
--Love, Barb

"The day I went in to take the picture the clerk said that she had more people come in the store in one day than she could ever remember….they were all visiting the library. While I was there a little girl came in a donated a book but and I should have asked her to get in a picture.  I will stop in again and check if all is going well.  It’s a very small town of about 100 people.    Next time I will try and get some “action shots”!

“...a beautiful memorial idea that has burgeoned into a civic, cultural, and communal institution.”

“Why should we care?  Maybe because the Little Free Library is the coolest, simplest, easiest-to-understand good thing you’ll hear about all week.”

--Houston Chronicle

How the Little Free Library Is Reinventing the Library (headline)

“Sound too good to be true? Well, this type of library already exists, and it's becoming a worldwide phenomenon.”
--Huffington Post

"Words do not describe this experience!  We have gotten the pleasure of seeing smiles on young people's faces, mothers and fathers sharing reading to their children, and most of all, our community embrace this Little Free Library.  We can't thank you enough!"
